On June 11 and 12, 2026, the Second Project Partner Meeting was held at the premises of the Center of Excellence UNITe, located at 5G James Bourchier Boulevard in Sofia. The forum brought together representatives of the partner organizations, who reviewed the results achieved during the first year of project implementation and discussed the priorities for the next reporting period.
The meeting began with an analysis of the activities and results achieved during the first year of the project, presented by Prof. Krassen Stefanov. Assoc. Prof. Elisaveta Gurova presented the project’s technical report, the progress made toward achieving the result indicators, the planned activities for the next implementation period, as well as the financial statements.
The meeting also reviewed the progress achieved in the project’s accompanying activities. Prof. Plamen Zahariev from the University of Ruse “Angel Kanchev” presented the implementation of the communication plan for the 2025–2026 period, while Assist. Eleonora Ivanova from the Technical University of Sofia informed the participants about the results of the distributed access to the research infrastructure, including the annual report for 2025 and the plan for 2026.
A significant part of the agenda was dedicated to the implementation of the scientific programme and the progress achieved within the individual work packages. The leaders of the Work Packages presented the results achieved to date, the ongoing activities, and the tasks planned for the upcoming period. On behalf of Prof. Maria Nisheva, Prof. Kalinka Kaloyanova presented the objectives and progress of Work Package 1, which focuses on the development of innovative mathematical methods and models in support of digital transformation. Prof. Boyan Bonchev reported on the activities carried out under Work Package 3, which is dedicated to innovative methods, technologies, and tools for modern technology-enhanced learning. Reports on the remaining Work Packages were presented by Prof. Ivan Koychev, Prof. Stanislav Simeonov, Assoc. Prof. Zdravko Kuzmanov, Prof. Plamen Zahariev, and Assist. Eleonora Ivanova.
The participants also discussed the planning of the work programme for the 2026–2027 period, as well as the contribution of the individual partners toward achieving the project’s target result indicators. The meeting concluded with a session of the Management Board of the UNITe Project and the Association “Center of Excellence UNITe”.
The discussions held during the meeting confirmed the strong coordination among the partner organizations and outlined clear directions for the implementation of the next phase of the project. The meeting provided an opportunity to synchronize activities, exchange best practices, and enhance the planning of future scientific and organizational initiatives.
