The Scientific Research Department at Sofia University has introduced a new initiative aimed at showcasing exceptional research efforts through a series of short promotional videos
We are pleased that the ILEDA project, together with its follow-up initiative ISILA – supported by COE UNITe — has been selected as part of this year’s featured projects.
The video highlights the Erasmus+ project Improving Online and Blended Learning with Educational Data Analytics (ILEDA), carried out by the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at Sofia University under the direction of Prof. Krassen Stefanov. The project explores how authentic learning data from platforms like Moodle can be utilized to enhance both online and blended learning.
Its goal is to support teachers with improved feedback tools while providing students with clearer guidance and more personalized support throughout their learning experience. The team collaborates with several European universities to develop open, data-driven software solutions, examine anonymized learning data, and build learning profiles that strengthen the overall educational process.
Building on the groundwork laid by ILEDA, the ISILA project merges data from a variety of sources to offer educators a more holistic understanding of the learning process, by addressing not only academic progress but also students’ emotional and social well-being.
