“Open and Responsible Science – Bulgaria 2026” Pilot Program |
Dear doctoral students and young researchers,
Applications are now being accepted for the 2026 National Doctoral School on Open Science, which will take place June 12–14, 2026, in Sofia.
The school is designed for doctoral students and early-career researchers in Bulgaria with less than five years of research experience, who wish to develop practical skills in the field of open and responsible research and innovation.
Participation in the school is subject to application and an approval process. Interested individuals should complete an application form; approved participants will be notified by email once the selection process is complete. Places are limited.
Application deadline: June 3, 2026.
Announcement of results: June 5, 2026.
The opening ceremony of the National Doctoral School on Open Science will be attended by official representatives of the participating institutions, the academic community, and partner organizations.
Venue: Center of Excellence UNITe, Sofia
Format: In-person training
BYOD: Participants should bring their own laptop
Working languages: Bulgarian and English
Coffee breaks, as well as lunch and dinner catering, are provided for the participants, in accordance with the daily schedule.
Accommodation and travel for the period of June 12–14 will be arranged and covered by the organizers.
